Addis Ababa: Mach 15, 2016 – The Omani Products Exhibition (OPEX) -2016, an exhibition aimed at creating trade ties between Ethiopian and Omani investors, is to be held in Addis Ababa, at the Millennium Hall, April 11-14, 2016.
The four-day event, which is the first of its kind in Africa, will bring together over 100 Omani businesses, according to a statement OPEX Organizing Committee sent to FBC today.
The exhibition will provide opportunities for business to business networking between the Omani businesses and their Ethiopian counterparts.
Omani companies will show off their top quality products at the exhibition.
Oman and Ethiopia last year declared, at an event held at Saromariya Hotel Addis Ababa, the exhibition will be happening in Addis Ababa providing Omani businesses opportunities to set in foot in the African continent.
Chairman of OPEX Organizing Committee, Ayman Abdullah Al Hasani said in his message, “We take pride in our efforts of reaching out Omani Products to new markets by organizing OPEX – The Largest Omani Products B2B Expo for the 5th year and this time in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Africa.”
Chambers of Commerce of the two countries are working together to make successful business to business relations and this exhibition is one such effort.
Ethiopia is selected for OPEX 2016 as it shows off one of the fastest growing economies in the continent and as it presents new market frontier.
As the Africa rising narrative is glowing in the world, foreign businesses are flocking to the continent to make their share of development and reap the benefits of doing business in Africa.
OPEX 2016 attracts companies engaged in agrofood, building materials, industrial goods, furniture and fixtures, electrical and electronics, medical and pharmaceutical products, fertilizers, leather goods and logistic services.
Omani businesses see business opportunities in Africa, particularly in Ethiopia while they provide immense opportunities for African businesses seeking to work with companies in the Gulf region.
Businesses in Addis Ababa and elsewhere in Africa can take this exhibition as a starter to do business with big companies from Oman.
The exhibition is tailored in a way it facilitates B2B networking among businesses in the African continent and the Gulf region.
